And the incident that Wade was covering was that of the two men who drowned in the river at Guanacaste Park. Henry Osorio and Alexander Munoz were hanging out with two other persons when one of them went under, and the other one tried to help. In the end, both their bodies were pulled out of the river. The ComPol said excessive alcohol consumption was a factor:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Yesterday evening the police were called to the Guanacaste Park area, the riverside and upon arrival they met two female sin a frantic state. Those females told the police that their two male counterparts had gone under the water and had not resurfaced. Based on that, the police conducted some searches in the area and the two male individuals were found and taken from the water but by then it was too late, they were already without life. Based on that, they were taken to the hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. The information we gathered so far is that the four of them were socializing, two males and two females and one of the males went into the water to take a swim and he began to drift away and then the other one went to rescue him and he also drifted away and then they both submerged and didn't resurface so that's the information we have."
