He's a pastor and a cab driver but because his passengers got caught with 1.3 kilos - or almost 3 pounds of cocaine, tonight, 52 year old Burrell Boom resident, Mark Humes is in Jail with them.
The 6 Fishermen and Humes appeared In court today where they were read a single drug charge for trafficking the cocaine. One of the 6 fishermen wanted to plead guilty but when heard he will have to go to jail for 4 years,, he changed his plea.
The six Fishermen are all from the North, identified as Lerman Leslie 31, of Chunox Village, Corozal; Freddy Chavez, 43, of San Estevan , Orange Walk, Angel Aragon, 44, of Sarteneja Viilage, Corozal; Marvin Teul, 35 of Sarteneja, Ronyer Alexander Cruz, 24, also of Sarteneja Village and 38-year-old, Christian Merilyn White.
Allegations are that last night, in Orange Walk the group was found in possession of the drugs by the Mobile Interdiction Team and the Highway Interdiction Team.
Officers within this unit intercepted a gold dodge caravan vehicle driven at the time by Pastor Mark Anthony Humes.
Humes, we understand, was hired to take the six Fishermen from Belize City to Orange Walk.
