And as you might have noticed in the news tonight, the Commissioner was the only one at today's press briefing. Usually, he's accompanied by Assistant Commissioner, Hilberto Romero - but Romero couldn't make it today; that's because he was lucky to escape unhurt when a cargo truck's wheel flew off and came hurtling at his vehicle on the highway.
It happened outside Hattieville on the George Price Highway when the rear passenger side wheel of an Isuzu Cargo truck broke off and slammed into Romero's SUV - while another one of the tires flew off into the bushes on the road side.
Romero's front fender and hood were damaged and he complained of pain to his neck and lower back. The driver of the cargo truck accepted fault and has agreed to settle the matter through insurance.
