Every other group has announced its senatorial appointments except the opposition. But that ended today when the office of the leader of the opposition, Tracy Panton announced its appointment of its three senators. She has selected Patrick Faber who will serve as the new Lead Senator for the Opposition, joined by Panton's chairman Sheena Pitts and Mr. Gabriel Zetina, a relative political newcomer who is an entrepreneur from San Pedro.
Their release details that " The newly appointed senators bring a dynamic mix of experience, expertise, and youthful energy to the Senate."
And, in a release that came out a short while ago from Shyne Barrow, it says quote, "The United Democratic Party reminds all that our claim against Tracy Panton and the Alliance for Democracy Party for passing themselves off as the elected leaders of the UDP that make up the Central Executive remains live and is scheduled for trial March 31, 2025...Until a decision is made by the High Court, the media continues to cause irreparable damage to the United Democratic Party by promulgating the false claims of the Alliance Party that October 20th was valid and Tracy Panton's expulsion from the UDP was not." End quote.
Since Barrow is no longer the leader of the UDP it is unclear what standing he still has in the case.
