There was a scare at Belmopan Comprehensive today - when news went out that a student had a gun on the school compound. Teachers locked up their classrooms in fear as police scoured the compound for the student alleged to have the gun- which he had reportedly showed to classmates.
The scare came after there was a fight between students the day before where one student brandished a knife, and PLUS TV reports, quote, "It is believed that the gun was brought as retaliation."
But, no gun was found after intensive police searches and school resumed as normal.
