Marion Jones Overgrowth Finally Cut, But Minister Had To "Beg Favor"

And while there's change afoot at the Department of Youth Services - it's the same for the Sports Council - where there is major administrative bloat and very little money left to do anything else other than pay salaries.

One of the much needed areas for which there is no money is the maintenance and upkeep of sporting facilities countrywide. So, that's why it was a welcome sight today to see that the grass and mangrove overgrowth around the track at Marion Jones has been cut. Since there were no funds in the budget for it, the Minister of Sports told us that he had to get a friend to volunteer his "bush hog" and he purchased the fuel and supplies to get it done some weeks ago.
