So, there are many legitimate questions raised about who knew what and when, and what could have been done to stop the hijacker form getting on a domestic flight. Today on Sunup, the compol walked us through what he knew.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I am not aware of that, I learnt of that this morning listening to Jules on the Tomahawk beef and so I personally was not aware of him being rejected from The United Airlines flight. I also listened to what Jules was saying in terms of him assaulting police officers in Corozal. I am not aware of that either, I know that following the incident there were certain information that came to me of his involvement in certain things in the north. And I had communicated with Mr Rosado and Rosado had said to me that he did give a directive for the person not to be detained, but the explanation that he gave, I could understand why he gave that directive. There was nothing that was told to Mr Rosado that Mr Taylor had assaulted any police. There was an immigration issue, yes, because I think when he went in to immigration he was coming from Mexican side and there was no stamp to show he had left Belize to go into Mexico. So when he was coming back into Belize, immigration was requesting the stamp that he had indicated that he had left the country and there was none, so I think based on that immigration denied him entry. Again with that said he was not allowed to enter the country."
