And, finally tonight, the home of attorney Audrey Matura was burglarized sometime after 9 on Saturday morning. The burglars stole a 9mm pistol and one magazine with 7 rounds. They also stole some jewelry and a cellphone. The total value of the items amounted to $2,375. According to the police report, the burglars gained access through a bathroom window. Officers are viewing surveillance footage and are investigating.
There was another burglary just before 9 on Monday night at the corner of New Road and Victoria Street. Once again, a firearm and two magazines were stolen from the home. Those burglars gained entry into the home by prying open a burglar bar on a window.
