Deputy Commissioner of Police Bart Jones is the acting Compol right now. That's since September eighth when Richard Rosado was put on 45 days Administrative Leave as the government makes an assessment of capability in the Budna abduction.
And today Jones was out in the field at the ground breaking ceremony for the Bella Vista Police SubStation. Sanchez spoke to the public relations staff for the Ministry of Home Affairs today and said he's not new to this acting Compol gig:

"As acting commissioner, it is nothing different from what I've been doing when I held over when Chester Williams, when he was commissioner, and I held over for a few days that he was out of the country on official business. It's the same that I've done in the past. And so the work of serving the people continues. That does not stop."
"The post of commissioner is but one person. And so the general rank and file of the police department continue to work at maximum to ensuring public safety and security."
