Police made a major drug bust over the weekend in the South. No official information has been released but 7news has confirmed that on Saturday afternoon, police intelligence led them to a property near the Savannah forest Station in Independence Village.
They found 3 Colombian men37 year old Hernan Lopez, 27 year old Alberto Medoya and 43 year old Yeney De Jesus.
Hidden inside the ceiling beams of the house were 52 Parcels of cocaine which weighed just under 130 pounds.
The parcels carried the markings "NK", and "Nokia."
They also had five nine millimeter pistols with 204 live rounds of ammunition, as well as magazines for assault rifles.
Additionally police found over a dozen cellular phones, as well as three boats with multiple 250 and 350 horsepower engines.
And they were fit for land too with a Range Rover , a Fored F-350 and cash in various currencies, including Belizean, Colombian and Us dollars.
The 3 men were arraigned in Dangriga court today on drug trafficking charges.
