DPP Kirk Anderson is back in office. According to a government press release,
he was supposed to have met with the PM last week, but Anderson didn't return
until Friday afternoon. So that meeting was held yesterday in Belmopan and it
was led by Prime Minister Said Musa, with the Attorney General Francis Fonseca,
Solicitor General Edwin Flowers and Anderson. There has been no official comment
on what transpired, neither DPP Anderson nor Attorney General Fonseca directly
returned our calls requesting comment. In the National Assembly, Fonseca pledged
to work with Anderson to restore public confidence in the justice system. The
UDP steadfastly maintains that Anderson must be removed.
