Ladyville Police are still trying to find the two men who held up a Willows
Bank couple and jacked their vehicle. The drama unfolded outside the home of
Mahlon MacFadzean. Macfadzean told police that around seven forty five on Friday
night he was walking towards his car when he and his wife were held up at gun
point by three men, two of them armed with handguns. They forced the couple
inside their home and one of them struck MacFadzean on his head with the pistol
butt.
The assailants then went through the home and by the time they were finished
they had stolen a chain valued at three hundred dollars, a cell phone and a
computer. They then escaped by jumping into MacFadzean’s car and drove
away. Police later discovered the vehicle on Lizarraga Avenue in Belize City
but they have yet to find the men who committed the crime.
MacFadzean didn’t wish to speak on camera but he did say that he suspects
that the men who did it were probably not from his small village but may have
been set up by someone from his village.
