There aren’t many things Belize is willing to give Guatemala but last
night Belize’s Maria Jeffrey, the reigning Reina del La Costa Maya didn’t
have any choice but to pass on he crown to the new queen – Guatemala’s
Jennifer Chiong. Chiong beat 7 other contestants to nab the title. [View the

Quesada placed second. She won the bikini competition on Tuesday. Miss Honduras
Alejandra Mendoza was third. She also won best national costume. Now that there
is a queen, the 2008 Costa Maya Festival begins tonight.
