On Saturday night 15 year old Kathleen Sabal did what her mother and aunt tried
but never did, she won the Miss Garifuna Belize City pageant. Sabal, who is
in third form at Wesley College, beat out 5 other contestants to nab the title
at the Bliss Center. Sabal will represent Belize City in the national Miss Garifuna
pageant in Hopkins on November 8th. Kathleen Sabal won a scholarship to sixth
form and a computer among other prizes.
