He is not saying much to Belize City Police but someone tried to kill forty
eight year old Belize City resident Fredrick Lynch better known as “Diggy-Dap.”
But authorities strongly suspect that the victim knows more than what he has
been telling them and that is he does not know who shot him or why. Lynch who
has since been released from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital is reportedly
at home recovering from the gunshot wounds he received to his lower body. The
shooter described only as a masked gunman approached Lynch as he stood by Minland
Store on Tibruce Street.
Lynch told police that because he could not see the shooter he is unable to
say who pulled the trigger however police told 7NEWS
their investigation reveal that Lynch was shot from a close distance and they
believe he would have been able to identify the man who tried to kill him. The
police also told 7NEWS that they also strongly believe
Fredrick Lynch shooting was an act of retaliation.
