She’s famous for her “two-cents question of the day” on the
WUB Show on Krem TV but if you haven’t seen Ya Ya Marin Coleman for a
while, it’s because she’s locked down at a detention facility in
Florida. According to today’s Amandala, Marin Coleman was flying to New
York to attend a conference but was taken off the plane in North Carolina.
According to the Amandala she was detained on a federal charge having to do
with immigration and alleged voting in a U.S. election. Marin Coleman who is
a British citizen had lived in the United States for years with an American
husband and child. She returned to Belize a few years ago while her attorney
was trying to clear up her legal problems.
But they weren’t clear, and according to the Amandala she was flying
to New York on the hope of some kind of diplomatic waiver. But Uncle Sam doesn’t
play that and now Marin Coleman is in detention awaiting a hearing which is
scheduled for February.
