Getaway Driver in San Ignacio Massacre Charged for Murder

Former Bowen and Bowen Cayo Chief Security Josiah Thompson is scheduled to be laid to rest tomorrow, and today San Ignacio police charged one of the suspects in connection to his murder. Twenty four year old Delan Parham, a taxi driver of number nine Mariana Gonzales Street in Santa Elena Town was today taken over to the San Ignacio Town Magistrate’s Court where he was arraigned on the charges of murder, attempted murder, robbery, maim, use of deadly means of harm, two counts of kept firearm without a gun license and two counts of kept ammunition without a gun license.

The same charges will also be levied against the two conspirators twenty five year old Elvis Duncan and twenty five year old Arden Garoy. The duo, who are residents of Eldridge Village in the Toledo District remain hospitalized.

During the brazen hold-up and robbery just outside of the Belize Bank on Monday evening, Josiah Thompson was shot but still managed to shoot Garoy in the head, buttocks and foot. Elvis Duncan was injured after he tried running away from the cops but fell while jumping a fence. Also severely injured in the shootout was Bowen and Bowen security officer Millard Tun who was shot in the face and remains hospitalized.

According to police they did find evidence that links all three to the crime. The discovery includes a total of five thousand, three hundred and eight dollars and forty three cents.

The accused Delan Parham is scheduled to reappear in court on February nineteenth. At that time it is expected he will be joined by his two conspirators Arden Garoy and Elvis Duncan.
