On Friday you heard former Caribbean Shores Area Representative Jose Coye saying
that he felt vindicated after cautions were removed from 57 lost in the West
Landivar area that he had helped secure for a private development. Well, he
may have spoken to soon. According to a late evening government release, Coye
was, “personally involved in causing government to receive only four thousand
dollars per lot...while purchasers were paying between forty to sixty thousand
dollars per lot.”
The release explains that the cautions were removed not because Coye is in
the clear, but because those who purchased the lands were innocent of wrongdoing.
And the release continues to say that the Ministry will now pursue civil suits
against Coye and former Lands Minister Florencio Marin Sr.
