And it’s not only Carolyn Rowland’s family that is mourning her loss and the death of her eight year old daughter but tonight another family is grieving after they lost a loved one in yet another road accident. Around six thirty on Friday night eighty two year old Carmen Andres Flores, a resident of the Buttercup Community outside of Burrell Boom Village, was riding his bicycle on the main road when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Carmen Andres Flores received severe head and body injuries and died.

The driver of the vehicle is a relative and neighbour of the victim and is reportedly grief stricken and in state of shock but we understand that he has told family members that as he was driving on the main road he was temporarily blinded by the high beam of a vehicle that was coming in the opposite direction. The investigation is being handled by the Ladyville Police who continue to investigate.
