Robbers at Accent Stole $1,300 from BEL
posted (February 12, 2009)

Tonight we know more details about yesterday’s broad daylight armed robbery at the Accents Gift Shop at the corner of Queen and North Front Streets. Around 2:30 yesterday afternoon – two men entered the store and demanded money. They wore bandanas and hooded jackets. One of them pulled out a .38 revolver while his accomplice ordered everyone on the ground and they then stole the cashier George Hoare’s cell phone.

One of the men then went to the Belize Electricity Limited agent which is inside the gift shop and stole $1300 from the cash pan. The men then fled on bicycles. As we mentioned last night – there were no surveillance cameras.
