And there was another armed holdup in Belize City last night, fortunately
in this one, nobody was hurt, but that’s only because the attendants at
Buca Shell did exactly as they were told.
At 8:50, the staff at Buca Shell was closing up for the evening when two men
entered the convenience store. One of them went to the back of the store as
if he was looking at the liquor section, and the other then walked to the counter,
pulled a sawed off shotgun from inside his trouser leg, and pointed it at the
cashier – while the other man went into the cash pan and grabbed over
three hundred dollars in cash. And whiles he was rifling through the cash, the
man with the gun relieved the cashier of her cell phone and fifty dollars.
Both men then ran off. Police have made no arrests.
