Marcelino Miranda, PR Mexican Embassy
“So they decided for the second year to come together to organize
one big festival in which everybody is going to share their culture, their traditional
dances, food, and music and fireworks together. So this is part of the September
celebrations of Belize so we decided to join Belize in their celebrations and
we are going to have this concert, a big concert, that is going to start at
4 pm, this is opened to the public.
It is going to be free, the entrance is free, and the purpose of this
is to have a family event so everybody can come with their families, with their
children, young people can come. And we’re going to have also food stands,
you know we have different flavors, different traditional dishes from all the
countries; Belize, Central America, Mexico and we are going to have at the end
of the cultural celebration, we are going to have fireworks and directly from
Mexico we want to share this.
Traditionally there were fireworks from Mexico years ago and now we want
to share that with all the Central American countries and Belize and after the
fireworks we are going to have the Youth Connection Band from Orange Walk who
are going to perform in a concert.”
