Earlier we told you that for the first time in memory, the 21st. September
parade in Belize City had to be cancelled due to heavy rain and flooded streets.
And while the old low-lying capital was inundated – in the new capital
the sun was shining – and Belmopan was eager to demonstrate what the Prime
Minister called, its “pride of place” as the host city for this
year’s official ceremonies.
The parade was choc full of floats and even featured a dancing minister!
More than that, it lasted for 50 minutes! We leave you this evening with highlights
of the parade.
