Housing Minister Michael Finnegan left the country for Detroit Michigan today,
but on his way to the airport it seems, he stopped in at the office of Lake
Independence PUP area Representative Cordel Hyde and delivered 106 purchase
orders for home improvement in that division. They amount to $451,298 which
represents the full disbursement for Lake Independence. Five Lake Independence
residents will also benefit for low income homes. These are all monies approved
under the Venezuelan Housing grant.
The news came via a government press release and we suspect the intent is to
show even-handedness, by demonstrating that a PUP division received its full
and fair share of the grant funds.
