But while Willoughby has to twist the council’s arm to get it
to pay the sanitation companies – he wants to do much more than that to
the council employee who sent a very mischievous and slanderous fax about him
this morning from the fax machine in the Mayor’s Office.
You heard right? And remember what we said about a crazy house council?
Well this is proof. The release says: “the people need to know that councillor
Phillip Willoughby is the person behind the demonstration. He is in bed with
the owners (of the sanitation companies) and collecting under the table. Because
these companies are not being paid, he is not being paid. So he advised them
to demonstrate.” It goes on to say more, but generally accuses him of
acting corruptly and in collusion with the sanitation companies.
Now this fax states clearly on the header that it is from the Belize
City Council – we are advised that the fax that carries that header is
in the mayor’s office. And while these things can be faked, Willoughby
is convinced that it comes from the fax machine in the mayor’s office.
And while he confirmed that the mayor was not in office today – he says
some devious person was and what they did hurt and embarrassed him.
Phillip Willoughby,
“That is why I find it very disturbing with the disrespectful fax
that came out of the office of the Mayor earlier today.”
Jules Vasquez,
“Have you figured out where that came from?”
Phillip Willoughby,
“It came out of the office of the Mayor, the number is on the top
of the paper.”
Jules Vasquez,
“So who would do such a malicious thing? It came from the Mayor’s
office.”
Phillip Willoughby,
“Some evil little person with a small mind. I got a clear mind. I
think the same vindictiveness or the same maliciousness that they acted towards
what those people from BML are suffering for not being paid will fall right
back in their laps in due time. We know the secretary and ultimately the secretary
will be responsible because it is her responsibility to ensure and know who
goes in her area and who uses the fax machine and gives permission to a person.
But ultimately like I said, the same malice and vindictiveness or this particular
act of evil will fall right back where it needs to fall in due time.”
Jules Vasquez,
“So you’re saying the Mayor is not responsible because she is not
here?”
Phillip Willoughby,
“I can’t say that the Mayor was contacted, I can’t say
that the Mayor gave her approval.”
Jules Vasquez,
“It seems a bit big of a plot to be hatched by a secretary.”
Phillip Willoughby,
“Like I said brethren, this is a revolving door that I’ve learnt
and I continuously to hear and when you go through the door it goes around in
circles and so we will see where it stops.”
And while the release is noteworthy for the office it was issued from
more so than the allegations contained therein, for the record Ellis and Willoughby
flatly denied any collusion.
