On Friday we told you about the brutal killing of 29 year old Karina Daniels who was found dead in an open lot in Orange Walk Town; she had been strangled to death and was partially nude. Well the man who is believed to have killed her, her ex-boyfriend is tonight in the custody of Mexican police.

It’s been confirmed in the Mexican newspaper Diario Quintana Roo which also has a picture of him, but the officer in charge of Orange Walk Police Inspector Selvin Tillett says while they are in the process of preparing the transfer paper work, and they have yet to confirm if indeed that man is Carlos Keme. The paper says a Mexican police patrol picked him up at a park where he was acting suspiciously.

Twenty nine year old Carlos Keme is described by Mexican authorities as originally from El Salvador and a member of the notorious MS – 13 gang. And while we are not sure when the man in custody will be handed over to Belize Police, the reports out of Mexico about the homicide in Belize have been chilling and very disturbing.

Mexican media reports are that at the time the young woman she was also four months pregnant. According to Mexican reports Carlos Keme allegedly told police that he killed Karina Daniels because he caught her having sex with two men. For the time being, he remains detained in Mexico.
