And that follow up might be in time to try one man who allegedly raped a woman
last week and has now been caught. On Thursday night between 7:30 and 8:00,
a 40 year old woman was walking on Chancellor Street in the West Landivar area
when a man on a bike approached her with a gun. She said he demanded her jewelry
and cell phone but that wasn’t enough - she says her attacker then dragged
her into some bushes and raped her.
She described her attacker as dark skinned with dreads and a bushy beard.
And police have arrested and charged this man, 25 year old Kareem Williams known
as Holmes of Supal Street. He has been charged for rape and robbery –
and was arraigned today. No plea was taken and Williams was remanded into custody.
