BTL Employee Charged for Burglary

A BTL employee is in big trouble with the law tonight. According to San Pedro Police, nineteen year old Troy Cole who worked as a BTL technician is the person who broken into Cellular World situated on Pescador Drive and stole over thirty six thousand dollars worth of electronic equipment.

Today the island authorities told 7News that on Sunday night the accused who does not live in San Pedro but Belize City gained access into the building by first picking the lock. Troy Cole is then alleged to have entered the store manager’s bedroom and from there he broke through a wooden wall that led into the store. Once inside the shop Troy Cole is alleged to have taken an assortment of cellular phones and other electronic equipment valued at thirty six thousand, five hundred and thirty two dollars.

Because the store is situated on the main street on San Pedro Ambergris Caye, the break in was reportedly witnessed by many person who called the police. But when the cops arrived at the location Troy Cole was nowhere to be found. Investigations reveal that following the burglary he came back to Belize City and sometime today he was taken into custody and charged for burglary. According to the police so far they have recovered half of the stolen items.
