Last night we reported that transgender student Jose Garcia was told he could
return to classes at the Baptist School of Adult and Continuing Studies in Belmopan.
Well it seems Principal Norman Willacey had a change of heart because Garcia
says that when he went to school yesterday evening – he was told to get
off the compound or else the police would be called. Garcia left and there was
no further incident. We were unable to get the school’s side of the story
but we’ll keep trying and following the story.
