On Friday night two robberies happened within one hour of each other but Belize

purse that contained $7,680 and two Belize passports, ID documents, keys and
a cell phone. The man then escaped on a bicycle.
One hour later, another woman, the fruit vendor who resides by mile five on
the Western Highway told authorities that while she was driving her pickup truck
along Central American Boulevard but as she reached a speed bump the vehicle
shut down. The woman got out of the pickup truck and this is when a man of dark
complexion armed with a machete grabbed her and took away her purse. It contained
two phone chips, twenty US in cash and an additional five hundred in Belize
currency, ID documents and cell phones all at a value of one thousand, three
hundred and ten dollars Unlike the first robbery case, in the second incident
