We’ve reported on home invasions in Belize City but tonight we have news
of a broad daylight home invasion that occurred at midday yesterday in Ranchito
Village in the Corozal District.
Raminel Anderson says that at around 12:15 he was inside his house when four
dark skinned men, all wearing masks, barged in and held him up at gunpoint.
He says he was beaten on his forehead with a gun – cutting it –
after which he was tied to a chair. The men then rummaged the house and left
with $2,035 in cash and jewellery.
Police are investigating and anyone with information is asked to call Crime
