In the presence of his mother, today a 15 year old boy was charged for Tuesday morning’s murder of tour guide Glenstine Martinez. The 15 year old accused killer was arraigned in Family Court for a single count of murder. Bail wasn’t an option and so Magistrate Alberta Perez remanded him into custody at the Boot Camp at the Hattieville Prison until March 15th.

The murder victim Glenstine Martinez, known to his friends as Peng, was washing his van at around 6:25 on Tuesday morning when the 15 year old boy rode up. There was an exchange of words and Martinez turned and walked towards the front passenger door of his van. That is when his assailant opened fire. A single shot was fired which hit Martinez in the back of his head.

A motive is unclear. Robbery is one suggestion but nothing was stolen from Glenstine Martinez.
