Thirty three year old Enrique Pandy, he is an employee of the Department of Transport but police are accusing him of being a child molester. Pandy has been charged with the aggravated assault of an indecent nature on a five year old girl.

The alleged incident took place on June first 2009. Court reports are on that day Enrique Pandy fondled the child’s private parts. Even more disturbing is that according to reports two other persons who are being sought by police were also involved in the incident and they are alleged to have carnally known the five year old. But while authorities continue to look for the other two suspected child molesters, the first accused today appeared in number five Magistrate’s Court.

Because the offence will be tried on indictment, no plea was taken from Pandy. He was denied bail and is tonight on remand at the Belize Central Prison and that is where he will remain until his next court appearance on February fifteenth. Belize City Police say as soon as they find their other two suspects they will be charged with carnal knowledge.
