wanted by Belizean authorities for drug possession and for the recently discovered
offenses for firearms, drugs, and explosives.”
Mark Sewell has been in Prison since February of 2007 pending extradition
and the pair’s other brother, Dwayne Sewell was shipped out of Jamaica
to the United States in 2007 and has since pleaded guilty to drug trafficking
in the state of Ohio and is serving a 17 year sentence. The allegation by the
DEA is that the brothers were at the head of a drug ring that used couriers
from the Columbus, Ohio area to traffic 163 pounds or 74 kilos of cocaine from
Chetumal into the United States. Millions were made and it is alleged that more
than US$1 million of their cocaine profits was wired from Columbus Ohio to Belize.
