A new call center will open in Belize in April. It will be called Clear
Call Belize Limited – a joint venture with Marketlinkx Direct Incorporated.
Kathy Esquivel is a member on the Board of Directors and she says it will create
sixty new jobs.
Kathy Esquivel, Clear Call Belize Limited
“Our prospective clients are US universities who will be contacting
prospective students offering them what they have to offer and also following
up and advising students on courses of study. Essentially you will have US clients
that use an offshore basis to do the calling because it is more cost effective
for them to do so. The benefit for us is that we have good jobs available.
We hope to have 30 seats running and we hope to begin the beginning of
April and its 30 seats with two shifts for approximately 60 employees. 60 jobs
is quite a benefit to Belize and of course it is earning foreign exchange because
it is all export, it is taking something to the US.
We are not ready to accept applications. We are in the process of sending
two people to Florida to train at the marketing facility and as they return
by mid-March, they will put out a call for people to apply.”
The minimum requirements are high school diploma and good command of
the English language. A final decision on the location of the call center hasn’t
been made. Marketlinkx Direct has similar call centres in Fort Lauderdale, Jamaica,
and the Dominican Republic.
