Shyne Signs Multimillion Dollar Record Deal
posted (February 18, 2010)

Jamal Shyne Barrow has signed a multimillion dollar record deal with Def Jam Records. That is according to U.S. media reports which state that after a bidding war between several record labels, Shyne inked the deal reportedly worth $5 million with Def Jam. Shyne plans to record the album in London but that won’t happen until he is allowed to enter London. Two weeks ago Shyne was turned back from the airport in London when he attempted to enter with a one way ticket. That immigration wrinkle is being worked out and Shyne who is presently in Mexico is expected return to London shortly to begin recording his new album.

Shyne previously signed a record deal with Def Jam while in prison and released – “Godfather Buried Alive.” The deal back then fell apart because of disagreements with the label boss over promotions of the album. US media also report that he is being managed by “Hip-Hop Since 1978” which also manages Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Drake.
