Sharp police work made for an impressive bust of a gang of armed robbers today.
Around 12:00 a grocery store in Los Lagos was robbed at gunpoint. Police received
the report and set chase after a gold car heading from Los Lagos to Belize City.
They intercepted it in front Of Diamond Hotel at mile 4 on the Northern Highway.
Four men were in the car along with all the items stolen from the store including
cash, liquor, phone cards, and the DVR recorder used for the security cameras.
Police also found a firearm and a mask – both believed to have been used
in the robbery. Police have not released the names of the accused and we’ll
have more details tomorrow.
