Accused Killer Escapes from Orange Walk Police
posted (April 15, 2010)

And while there is drama attending the escape of the prisoners at Hattieville – we would only wish to have such a colourful account of the escape of an accused murderer in Orange Walk today. 29 year old Carlos Keme who was appearing in Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court to get a trial date for the murder of his ex-common law wife, managed to slip away from police as he was being escorted back to the station from the adjacent court house. Police set out searching, but up to news time he was still at large.

It is of note that after Keme allegedly killed 29 year old Karina Daniels in an open lot in Orange Walk Town in October of last year, he went on the run in Mexico and was found days later in Chetumal. Daniels was strangled to death and was left partially nude; she was pregnant at the time of her murder. When he was brought back to Belize, Keme confessed to CTV-3 in Orange Walk that he had killed her.
