A man was killed around 11:00 this morning in his yard at 8731 Curl Thompson Street – and this was no accident, it has all appearances of an execution. 43 year old construction worker Edmond Castillo was in his yard under the house when his assailants strode into the yard and shot him in the head. He died on the spot. Another man who was leaving the yard was also shot; he survived and is reported to be in ward at the KHMH. He is 18 year old Carlton Augustine and he was shot to the buttocks.

Castillo's wife Sherlene said that she was at work at the time. She says that she has no idea why they killed her husband – because she didn't know that he had enemies. He is the father of three children.

But it is of very significant note that our records show that in January of 2009 Edmond Castillo was shot under his chin on that same Curl Thompson street. In that case 15 shots were fired at Castillo and two other men who were helping a friend move. One of those men, Barney Cunningham was shot to the head and later succumbed to his injuries.
