There weren't any murders reported over the weekend but there was a shooting in the city. On Saturday morning at 6:00 Cecil Parks was walking on Berkley Street, to East Canal and at the intersection of West Canal and Berkley Street, he was approached from behind by two fair skinned men who fired multiple shots. One of the bullets hit Parks in the arm and Police are seeking two suspects known to them.

It is of significance that on Thursday night between 6:45 and 8:00- there was a barrage of gunfire in this same area. It was a fiery exchange as gunmen opened fire on a police and BDF patrol. At the time, our team saw 9 millimeter expended shells as well as live rounds and shells form a point-45 weapon – which is a prohibited and very deadly firearm.
