Arthur Young Intercepted in Mexico
posted (May 10, 2010)
According to the Mexican Newspaper Diario De Quintana Roo, Arthur Young was caught yesterday morning trying to get pass immigration authorities in that country with a fake passport. The report says he was detained at the Chetumal International Airport yesterday morning. He was trying to use a false passport to board a flight bound for Mexico City. The newspaper says that he may be deported to his country of origin over the next few days.

Authorities caught up to Young when they conducted routine revisions of the passengers who arrived at the terminal area to board the flight leaving at 7:50 AM. The federal agents detected an irregularity in the passport of an individual bearing the name Edward Roberts, who turned out to be Arthur Young.

The news paper reports that he tried to deceive the uniformed personnel, telling them he was a businessman and that he wanted to travel to Mexico City to consolidate important business. Upon realizing that he was surrounded, he confessed that he was trying to reach the USA, since he was accused of crimes that he had not committed and he was afraid of being incarcerated unjustly by the Belizean authorities.

After being handcuffed, Arthur Young was transferred to the office of the Solicitor General, where an agent of the Federal Public Ministry started a judiciary process against him for the crime of falsifying official documents. He is presently in a high security cell in Chetumal, from which he will be deported.
