On Monday night at 08:05, Rodwell Williams, S.C. was shot while leaving his office at Barrow and Williams on Albert Street. Williams was reportedly shot to the mid-section and was rushed to the Belize
Healthcare Partners Hospital. Emergency surgery was conducted until almost midnight when Williams reportedly became unstable.
The injury is considered very serious and Williams is in a critical condition.
Reports are that Williams was shot by one of two men on bicycles. It is believed that only one shot was fired. Evidence so far suggests that it was not robbery.
Williams has been the Prime Minister's law Partner and close personal friend for more than two decades.
