The Spiritual Chef Serves It Up
posted (June 4, 2010)
In the music business releasing new CD's is a hit and miss proposition. Most artists sell their CD's for the cheapest, 15 dollars which is reasonable. But then they have to go up against pirated CD's from Lady Gaga, Jay Z and Beyonce which sell for 5 dollars. But one artist who is not worried about that is Tyrone Gladden. He's released a new CD called Babylon is Fallin and the Spiritual Chef and he told us how he got that name.

Tyrone Gladden, Musical Artist
"My name is Tyrone Gladden also know as the Spiritual Chef."

Jules Vasquez
"You are call the chef because you serve it up."

Tyrone Gladden
"Definitely, to me music is like cooking, once you got the right ingredients, the right mix, the right flavor you can make the excellent song. Theme of the album is based on Matthew chapter 4 verse 8 when Satan took Jesus on the pinnacle of the mountain and show him the kingdoms of the world and their glory. That is what the album is based on."

Jules Vasquez
"However is not a traditional gospel album. It is not an album you would play in church on Sunday. Or in most churches on Sunday."

Tyrone Gladden
"Yea, definitely it's not. The album is gospel-reggae dancehall, not every believer in Christ appreciates this type of music but the reason I do this type of music is reach the young generation. Well in some of my tracks I imitate some secular artist that I use to listen to for example I can imitate Tennon Saw, I can imitate Zebra and I also have my original flow."

The album was produced in a studio called living waters production and it is on sale at creations music and gifts on slaughterhouse road. The Spiritual Chef will also be serving it up in the streets.
