“Life” Salazar Still At Large for Cayo Killing

26 year old Marlon Rivera was shot and killed in downtown San Ignacio early Sunday morning while his friend 41 year old Dean Dougal narrowly escaped death. Tonight, police have charged two persons in connection with his death. They are TREVOR LAMB, and ADRIAN ARZU, who were jointly charged with abetment to commit the Rivera murder and abetment to commit Dougal's attempted murder. LAMB was additionally charged with the offence of Kept Firearm without a license. Police believe those two recovered the murder weapon after the gunman fled the scene and dashed it under a car. Investigators believe Lamb is the one who then stuffed the gun into a garbage can near the riverside. He later led police to the weapon.

And while they have been arraigned and remanded and will re-appear in court on 20th. July, the main suspect is still at large. He is Dionicio "Life" Salazar who is believed to be in the Belize City area. As we reported Salazar was convicted of killing Dougal's nephew in 2006 and sentenced to life imprisonment. That conviction was later overturned on retrial and he was set free.....
