While donations have just been made to the Belize Western Regional Hospital, two of the world's richest mean are teaming up to provide better healthcare in Central America.
Billionaires Bill Gates, the owner of Microsoft, and Telecoms Owner Carlos Slim, just named the world's wealthiest man are both teaming up with the Government of Spain in a 150 million dollar health initiative to assist Central American countries in need, which includes Belize.
The funds for the "2015 Meso-American Health Initiative" as they have named it, will be shared equally by the 3 donors, and will be used over the next 5 years to make improvements in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Panama. Nicaragua, Mexico, and Belize.
