The International Film Festival scheduled for mid July is swiftly approaching, and this year two new Belizean films are being served up. They are produced by a group called the Belize Liberator Productions.
They released the trailers of two independent films that will be featured. The two films are "Chino's Story" and "Amina the Powerful." We found out more.

"My story, I was sentenced to life in prison. I was exonerated by the highest count in the land privy council. I was set free and I just want to show my story and show people about the injustice that we are going through in Belize about how the usual Belizeans are suffering and we want justice. This documentary is about my transformation from being in jail, coming out and trying to make something good out of my life after I have been in the worst place in Belize. I want the youths to know that anything could be accomplished."
The movie "Amina The Powerful" is a short movie about men's sexist attitudes towards women, and features actors from Southern Belize.
