Got Off On Nolle Pros, But Re-Arrested
posted (June 18, 2010)
When 16 year old Elriquez Orellano was stabbed to death on the roadside in Roaring Creek in December of 2006 - it was a shocking murder, made even more so by the fact that his alleged killer was also 16. Today that alleged killer, now 19 year old Timroy Neal was freed of the murder charge in the Supreme Court.

It happened in the court of Justice Troadio Gonzalez when a nolle prossequi was entered by Senior Crown counsel Yohhanseh Cave because the witnesses could not be located. But Neal's freedom was fleeting because he was told that he will be re-arrested and re-indicted for murder on June 28th. So instead of being given his freedom, Neal was placed back into police custody and his case was traversed to the Belmopan Supreme Court.

Neal's trial had begun on Wednesday, June 16th and one witness had already testified so Justice Gonzalez had to discharge the jury. Neal was represented by attorney, Phillip Palacio.
