The Belize City council is hosting the Houston Tri-County Black Chamber of Commerce which has brought an International Bilateral Trade Mission from Houston to Belize. The delegation is in Belize for only five days and will be working in the Belize, Cayo, and Stann Creek Districts. Their primary purpose is to meet with businesses in Belize to explore opportunities for partnerships, joint-ventures and investments. "The purpose of the visit is to explore economic opportunities and to create a partnership with a country that have resources and we bring our business in the USA put those together and we can be in power economically by partnering together. As you know we have some issued with the golf where we can't do anymore, where we can't get our sea food from there, so we are looking at sea food industry here in Belize. We are looking in the Belize district, the Cayo District, we are looking at agriculture, we are looking at organic products in the Stann Creek district which is Dangriga. We are looking more at some of the industries like in what is it. Wood furniture industries and some of the arts and craft and culture. The delegation is a 18 member delegation some of our members are in Dangriga already and we will be going to Dangriga tomorrow, which is Thursday. So we've had a full schedule. I will say that the meetings we've had have been very on point we have gather information. We've learned what the country and this City needs through the Belize City Council and working with Mr. Espejo, we have of clear idea of the things that will be taken place."
