Locked Up His Under-Aged Girlfriend

Twenty year old Lucky Strike farmer, Hector Fajardo, who allegedly had his sixteen year old girlfriend unlawfully detained for six days, was charged with abduction when he appeared today in the number two Magistrate's court. Magistrate Sharon Fraser explained to Fajardo that she will not take a plea from him because the offence is indictable. She offered him bail of Five thousand dollars, and adjourned his case until July 22nd.

The girl, sixteen years and sixteen days old, went to the police station accompanied by her mother and reported that she was with Fajardo at his farm in Lucky Strike from June 15 to June 21st. She admitted that Fajardo is her boyfriend. According to reports, the police wanted to charge Fajardo with carnal knowledge but they could not do so because the girl was past the age of consent which is sixteen. Fajardo was represented by Attorney Dickie Bradley.
