Last week we told you about the cheapest grocery stores in Corozal Town, and today the Bureau of Standards released the results of its survey of the cheapest stores in Belize City and San Pedro Town.
For the city, survey says....it's Twins Supermarket on St. Thomas Street, K-Park on Sixth street and Century store at the corner of Vernon street and East Collet Canal. We visited both K-Park and twins today but the owners didn't seem too interested in the self-promotion. Thirty grocery stores in Belize City were surveyed.
In San Pedro the cheapest stores are Dalia's Store, Marina's Supermarket and Rou Rou supermarket - that is out of 22 stores surveyed.
The surveys are based basic food items. The surveys for the southern and western districts will follow.
